方向一：多源数据挖掘与社会地理计算
对手机信令、车辆和船舶轨迹、社交媒体点评、专利和企业注册、住房交易平台、开源地图和街景数据、新兴app数据等多源大数据进行拟合，挖掘并揭示政策干预（e.g. 公共服务均等化政策）和新经济模式（e.g. 数字平台经济）下，个体流动行为与地理环境的交互作用，并结合小数据揭示社会空间机制，构建“政策干预-人类活动-空间表征”相互作用机制，提出基于地理空间异质性分析的政策治理效果精细化评估方法，应用多源地理大数据挖掘城市社会问题的精确诊断。
方向二：人文地理理论与中国城市区域发展
基于改革开放以来的中国城市与区域发展和治理经验，对国际主流人文地理理论进行批判性和构建性探索，推动制度地理学、批判城市研究、经济和政治地理学的跨学科方法发展，应用于理解当前新一轮全球性变革下的城市与区域转型，聚焦于地缘政治与全球化秩序重构、经济金融化、国家干预主义回归背景下的城市与区域治理的多尺度转型。

1. Multi-Source Data Mining and Social Geography Computing
We employ diverse big data sources—including mobile phone signaling, vehicle and vessel trajectories, social media reviews, patents and business registrations, housing transaction platforms, open-source maps and street view data, and emerging app datasets—to analyze and reveal the interactions between individual mobility behaviors and geographic environments under policy interventions (e.g., public service equalization policies) and new economic models (e.g., the digital platform economy). By integrating conventional “small data,” we further investigate the underlying socio-spatial mechanisms. The research aims to build an analytical framework of “Policy Intervention – Human Activities – Spatial Representations” and to develop fine-grained methods for evaluating policy effectiveness based on spatial heterogeneity analysis. These methods enable precise diagnosis of urban social issues through multi-source geospatial big data mining.
2. Human Geography Theories and Urban–Regional Development in China
Drawing on China’s experiences in urban and regional development and governance since the Reform and Opening-Up, we critically and constructively engage with mainstream theories in human geography. Our work promotes interdisciplinary approaches in institutional geography, critical urban studies, and economic and political geography. We apply these perspectives to understand urban and regional transformations under the current wave of global change, with particular focus on multi-scalar governance transitions shaped by geopolitical shifts, the restructuring of global orders, economic financialization, and resurgent state intervention.
